I was working at Threshold Enterprises (makers of Source Naturals and Planetary Formulas) as a copywriter in 1994 when DHSEA was passed, so I’ve had plenty of time to learn the ins and outs of how to write compelling, compliant copy for dietary supplements — copy that adheres to both FDA and FTC regulations.
I was trained in how to craft appropriate structure function claims by none other than Loren Israelsen, president of the LDI Group and regulatory guru for the natural products industry. Over the past 25 years, I’ve had the great honor of working with many other top industry attorneys, which has given me insight into how different legal minds interpret the regs.
